Stay dialed in between user logins

Problem:
Is there a way to keep the computer dialed into a remote network while different users log in and out?

Versions:
Windows 2000, Windows XP

Solution:

Absolutely. The solution requires modifying the registry.

Download the following file to activate this feature:
keeprasconnectionson.reg

If you want to disable this feature, download this file:
keeprasconnectionsoff.reg

You may need to right click on the links above and choose Save Link as... (Netscape) or Save Target as... (Internet Explorer) in order to download the files.

After downloading the file, find it on your hard drive and double-click. You will be asked to confirm if you want to modify your registry. Choose Yes. Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
